Mayor Jeff Gahan announced that striping, high-reflectivity, and visibility enhancements continue to be made in New Albany. Work began on West 7th street and Hausfeldt Lane the weekend of August 29th, 2015.
West 7th (from Spring Street to Cherry Street) will be re-striped, and the paint will include glass beading for improved visibility and high-reflectivity. Intersection markings (e.g. stopbar, crosswalk) will also be completed along this route. Hausfeldt Lane (from Green Valley to Grant Line Road) will have similar improvements made through the corridor.
“We will continue to upgrade both visibility and clarity on our roadways to make travel safer for motorists and pedestrians,” stated Street Commission Mickey Thompson.
