A Message from Mayor Gahan
It’s a wonderful time to be in New Albany.
Our River City continues to grow, adding new shops, boutiques, restaurants, and recreation opportunities throughout New Albany. New projects, like the New Albany Shoreline, are coming to fruition, cementing our city as a premier destination for parks and recreation.
But most importantly, the spirit of the people of New Albany continues to shine through – one of friendliness, compassion, and hard work. I’m proud to be the Mayor of New Albany, and I look forward to continuing to serve my hometown and making New Albany the best place to live, work, and raise a family in Southern Indiana.

Mayor Jeff Gahan is currently in his fourth consecutive term serving as the Mayor of New Albany. He was first elected in 2011. Before his mayoral candidacy, he dedicated two terms to the city council.
